I am a professional in Information Systems Auditing and Control; a Data Privacy/Protection Specialist; a Data & Digital Trust Professional and Enthusiast; a certified Accountant, with in-depth competence in financial modelling, forecasting, management and business development; and passionately dedicated to training and facilitation.

Fundamentally, I honed my skills in Accounting, Banking and Financial Management, Information Systems Management, Data Business development and integration, over the years. My career pursuit kicked off with a first degree in Accountancy & Education; complemented with the following Professional Certifications as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) of ICAN, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) of ISACA America; an Associate Chartered Economist (ACE), and a Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM); earned an M.Sc. in Business Administration; also a registered professional of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN).
I am the Lead Consultant/Chief Data Protection Officer/CEO of Headspace Resources & Enterprise Synergy/Stephen Alaekwe & Co, a unique blend of an accounting/financial management consulting firm, information systems consultants, and a Federal Government of Nigeria’s Licensed Data Protection Compliance Organization (DPCO), for the purpose of training, auditing, consulting and rendering services aimed at ensuring compliance with the Nigerian Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) or any foreign Data Protection law or regulation having effect in Nigeria.
It is in my DNA to show astute doggedness in all engagements, with unwavering passion for excellence, strong craving for optimality and resolute disposition to consistently deliver value driven services with due care, skills, competence and diligence. I am a firm promoter of enterprise synergy for organic business growth.

I have interest in swimming, socializing and participating in inspirational and social activities. My quest for excellence has spurred me to serving on the Board (as the Certifications Coordinator) and in a number Committees of ISACA Abuja; ICAN Committee; and Nigeria's National Data Privacy Week Committee 2023. I belong to the Ancient and Noble Order of the Knights of John International (KSJI), where I also serve as the Financial Secretary of the Local Commandery.
